Eye Make –Up Techniques

The color of the eyes and hair play an important role in choosing the right combination of colors for the eye shadow. The color of the outfit, shoes or sandals to wear has nothing to do with the make-up hues. That is just an example of personal preference when making the choice. Eye make-up techniques will give you the right direction to do it.

If the eyes and hair are not of the same color, you must prefer the hair’s color than the eyes. This is because the hair is more dominant than the eyes. Blonde, red, gray and brunette are examples of hair colors. Each corresponds to the matching shades of eye shadow colors. For redheads, you may try copper shades or any cool colors. Blonde hairs match well with the set of creamy colors. Brunette will complement chocolaty colors or mocha. Lastly, gray hairs may be paired with lavender, light blue or faded purple.

The makeup you choose to apply for every occasion must definitely not be the same.  For day-to-day use, a simple single color eye shadow and mascara to thicken the eye lashes will do the trick. The single color eye shadow must be applied well and neatly to give you a naturally beautiful look or appearance. Brown and beige are the recommended colors to choose from. On the contrary, blue and green looks fancy and therefore, not advisable.

Going out with friends at night time parties need the extra glamour effect. You may apply shimmers on top of the eye shadow. It will also serve as the highlighter. Apply heavier eye shadow color this time. Wet the powder type eye shadow to make a heavy application. You may choose from the darker colored eye shadow so that you may party all night without worrying about doing a retouch. Make sure to put on the base first to keep the eye shadow from getting easily worn out. You may artistically invent blending of three to four colors to get the desired effects.

There are some precautions to be observed when applying the eye shadow. One is to avoid the cream type eye shadow as it tends to crease. If that happens, you may cover it up with the powder type eye shadow. They should always go together so if using the cream type eye shadow, the powder type eye shadow should also be used. Avoid applying white or light colored eye shadow on eyes with wrinkles. It will just highlight the wrinkles making it noticeable and obvious.  Instead cover it up with the matte shades of eye shadow colors. This type of color is flat and with no shimmer. Avoid shimmers or glitters also.

Eyes sometimes are too tired and that creates a haggard impression on the face. Make sure to cover it up and highlight the other good parts of the face. To do this, you will need to make use of the proper technique of placing the eye shadow colors at its proper place. Avoid using the eye liner to rid dullness. Apply on the brow bone highlighter to give you a fresh look. You may use mascara and choose matte colors as these colors will be helpful in covering up the haggard look.

Techniques serve as a guide to those who are fond of wearing make-ups even during the simplest and ordinary occasion. Take few steps right now in doing it and you will be satisfied. Make your choice now. You deserve the best. Reference: eyemakeup.net
